VIP Acquires Lyons Auto Service

WEST HARTFORD, CT — VIP Tires & Service has acquired Lyons Auto Service, opening to the public today as Lyons Auto Service by VIP. The acquisition expands VIP’s footprint to 77 locations throughout Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts and Connecticut.
The store currently has eight employees, including several State of Connecticut Emissions Inspectors onsite, with plans to hire more employees in the future. VIP is committed to ensuring that all of their stores are staffed with Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) and Tire Industry Association (TIA) certified automotive professionals, offering education and certification opportunities to all employees.

The facility, located at 1056 New Britain Ave. in West Hartford, Connecticut, currently has two buildings for automotive service. Renovations will include new automotive, tire and alignment equipment. New lifts will also be installed this winter, and major facility renovations are coming this spring.
