Complying with the requirement to get a ME state vehicle inspection ensures that you avoid fines and are driving legally. In order to buy, sell, or register your vehicle in ME, you also need to have an up-to-date inspection.

What VIP Inspects

VIP’s Certified Automotive Professionals will inspect many components of your vehicle during your ME state vehicle inspection. They will look at its:

  • Steering
  • Suspension

  • and more
The image captures a professional interaction in an auto repair shop, featuring a mechanic and a customer. The mechanic, wearing a blue uniform with a VIP Tires & Service logo, is explaining the details on a clipboard to the female customer. They are standing in a well-equipped garage with a car raised on a lift in the background. This scene portrays a typical customer service situation in the automotive industry, emphasizing the importance of clear communication and expert advice in customer interactions.
Inspection Issues

If your vehicle fails its ME state inspection, you’ll have 30 days to fix any issues so it will pass. Your VIP Certified Automotive Professional will give you a report listing the items that failed inspection, let you know the cost of any necessary work, and perform it for you if you choose to proceed.

All-Season

All-Season tires are versatile and suitable for warm and cool climates, but not recommended for extreme hot or cold weather conditions because of specific rubber components.

All-Weather

Like their name suggests, all-weather tires are versatile and can perform well in a variety of weather conditions and can be severe snow-rated.

All-Terrain

With bigger treads than traditional all-season tires, all-terrain tires allow for both on and off-roading capabilities.

Winter

Winter tires are manufactured to perform well in snow, ice, sleet and other cold weather conditions. Winter tires are typically soft, with an intricate grooved tread pattern — made for holding compacted snow and creating traction — and are severe snow-rated.
