Enjoy safe travels and peace of mind with VIP’s Advanced Multi-Point Inspection (MPI) service. Our in-depth, hands-on MPI determines exactly what’s going on with your vehicle and if any parts need service. It’s an inspection that will save you big in the long run, and with our $50 credit, you’ll receive an additional discount on any approved work we do for the same day.
Complimentary multi-point inspections are important for keeping your vehicle is in the best possible condition. They check to see if your car is running optimally, which can save you money on gas, and enable you to find and fix minor issues before they become expensive repairs.
But complimentary MPIs are surface-level and can miss some underlying issues. To ensure your car is in the safest and best possible condition, VIP Tires & Service offers our Advanced Multi-Point Inspection service. Unlike regular multi-point vehicle inspection services, our Advanced MPI:
VIP’s Advanced MPI is more hands-on than the complimentary multi-point inspection. A complimentary MPI might indicate that the tire tread is getting low or that the brakes are looking thin. The Advanced MPI provides specific measurements and actionable recommendations for any issues. In addition, the Advanced MPI includes a code pull, which is not part of the complimentary MPI.
A code pull is a check of your vehicle’s computer to see if there are any diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) in the system. These codes indicate if there’s an issue with one of your car’s systems.
During a diagnostic, a technician will use that code to identify and inspect the systems affected. The technician will test the issue to figure out the root cause, and then once the root cause is identified, make recommendations on next steps.
Depending on the issue, some diagnoses are simple and quick to address, while others are more in-depth and take longer to fix. VIP technicians will always stop at the one-hour mark of a diagnosis and reach back out to the customer to provide updates and get approval to continue.

An Advanced Multi-Point Inspection is like an annual health check-up for your vehicle. Putting it off means that minor, underlying issues can compound over time, resulting in severe damage to other parts of your vehicle.
For example, catching a minor transmission leak early can be a much quicker and less expensive repair than replacing an entire transmission that overheats and fails.
In New England, Maine, Massachusetts, and Vermont require annual vehicle inspections, while Rhode Island and Connecticut require inspections every two years.
New Hampshire’s annual state inspections are currently no longer required, but your vehicles still need attention. If you relied on the New Hampshire state inspection as your sign for an annual checkup, be sure to schedule an Advanced MPI at your VIP location. It’s a guarantee that your vehicle is safe and your car’s wearable parts are looked at and identified as safe or unsafe.
We know no one likes a yearly physical, so when you schedule an Advanced MPI with us, if we find something, we’ll credit your $50 payment to any repairs approved and worked on that day. It helps make things a little easier on your wallet while providing peace of mind.
VIP’s Advanced MPI is more than just a check on your car’s health; it’s proactive peace of mind that helps keep you and your family safe on the road while helping you save money in the long run.

We recommend that you get an Advanced MPI for your vehicle once a year as part of your routine maintenance. However, there are a few other specific circumstances when you might want to schedule an appointment:
If you’re not sure if it’s time for your vehicle to get an Advanced MPI, contact your local VIP store and talk about setting up an appointment.
Plus, at VIP Tires & Service, if we find any work that needs to be done, we’ll credit the $50 cost of the Advanced MPI for the work that you approve for that day. Schedule today, and we’ll ensure that we get you safely back on the road.
An Advanced Multi-Point Inspection (MPI) is an upgraded version of a standard multi-point inspection offered by VIP Tire & Auto. Where a standard MPI is a visual check of your vehicle’s system, the Advanced MPI is more in-depth and will provide precise measurements and assessments of your vehicle’s systems.
The complimentary MPI is a visual check that looks for obvious signs of wear or damage. An advanced MPI involves taking off the wheels, getting precise measurements on rotor width, brakes, calipers, tire wear, and also includes a code pull to identify any codes present in the system.
While you don’t need an inspection to drive legally in New Hampshire, it is highly recommended that you get an Advanced MPI annually as part of preventive maintenance. Not taking care of preventable safety issues can cause major problems down the road, including possible injury and costly repairs. For example, ignoring a loose ball joint for too long could mean your tire completely disconnects while on the road.
An Advanced MPI takes a total of 30 minutes to complete. After the inspection, if there is any work that needs to be done, the VIP technician will provide you with an estimate for how long the repairs will take.
The $50 credit covers the full cost of the Advanced MPI. If it is decided that the vehicle needs service, and if service is approved and performed on that same day, the $50 will be credited toward the cost of the service.
A code pull reads a car’s computer system to determine if there are any diagnostic trouble codes. It flags that something is wrong, but not necessarily what is wrong or what the cause is. A diagnostic is when a technician goes into the system to figure out the root cause of the issue and make recommendations on how to fix it.
It’s recommended that you get an Advanced MPI for your vehicle once a year. It is the most thorough way to determine if any of your parts need to be replaced or if there is a developing issue with any of your car’s systems.
Yes, all of VIP’s locations can perform an Advanced Multi-Point Inspection. While it’s possible to request an Advanced MPI during a walk-in service, it’s much more convenient to schedule an appointment ahead of time.

All-Season tires are versatile and suitable for warm and cool climates, but not recommended for extreme hot or cold weather conditions because of specific rubber components.
Like their name suggests, all-weather tires are versatile and can perform well in a variety of weather conditions and can be severe snow-rated.
With bigger treads than traditional all-season tires, all-terrain tires allow for both on and off-roading capabilities.
Winter tires are manufactured to perform well in snow, ice, sleet and other cold weather conditions. Winter tires are typically soft, with an intricate grooved tread pattern — made for holding compacted snow and creating traction — and are severe snow-rated.
