After opening Lowell store in August, VIP offered $10 oil changes, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the local school community.

LOWELL, Mass. — Today, VIP Tires & Service — Northern New England’s leader in all things tires and service — announced a $3,030 donation to Lowell Public Schools in Massachusetts after yet another successful “Oil Changes for Education” initiative. Eric Avery, VIP’s service manager at its Lowell location, proudly handed a check to Lowell Public Schools Superintendent Liam Skinner at a school committee meeting earlier this week. The funds can and will be used by the Lowell school community with no strings attached.

VIP opened the Lowell store in August, expanding its presence in Middlesex County. Starting on Monday, August 7 and continuing through Friday, September 22, the “Oil Changes for Education” program offered $10 oil changes, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the local school community. VIP also ran a new tire deal, offering $50 off the purchase of any four tires for three months. Local customers can head to VIP’s Lowell store for industry-leading tires, services and much more.

VIP is northern New England’s largest privately held automotive service provider and tire dealer. Based in Auburn, Maine, the company operates nearly 70 locations in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and Massachusetts. Each store is staffed with ASE and TIA Certified Automotive Professionals seven days a week, earning automotive customers of life.

“The VIP team is incredibly honored to support Lowell Public Schools, especially the teachers and students who will benefit most from the ‘Oil Changes for Education’ funding,” said Tim Winkeler, president and CEO of VIP. “We are nothing without the local communities that are so loyal to the VIP brand, and this recent program is just one small way for us to give back. Whether it means supporting public education or serving the customers who come to us for our unparalleled service, VIP will never forget about the places we call home.”

All-Season

All-Season tires are versatile and suitable for warm and cool climates, but not recommended for extreme hot or cold weather conditions because of specific rubber components.

All-Weather

Like their name suggests, all-weather tires are versatile and can perform well in a variety of weather conditions and can be severe snow-rated.

All-Terrain

With bigger treads than traditional all-season tires, all-terrain tires allow for both on and off-roading capabilities.

Winter

Winter tires are manufactured to perform well in snow, ice, sleet and other cold weather conditions. Winter tires are typically soft, with an intricate grooved tread pattern — made for holding compacted snow and creating traction — and are severe snow-rated.
