Total VIP donations to Make-A-Wish® hit $320,000 for 2025, nearly $2 million since 2008
AUBURN, Maine — Today, VIP Tires & Service, northern New England’s leader in all things tires and service, announced a 2025 fundraising total of $181,354.78 for Make-A-Wish® Maine in 2025. Customers and employees from VIP’s 35 locations throughout Maine donated $90,677.39 and VIP Executive Chairman John Quirk matched the company’s contribution. VIP’s total contribution to Make-A-Wish® now totals nearly $2 million since the company first partnered with the charity in 2008.
Supporting young children who face life-threatening medical conditions, VIP customers were philanthropically active in all five New England states with VIP locations: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Vermont — raising a grand total of $320,000 for Make-A-Wish in 2025. Maine led the fundraising totals, and New Hampshire came in second with nearly $67,000 raised (Quirk’s match included). The funds raised in each state remain in that state to fund local Make-A-Wish® initiatives.
As northern New England’s largest privately held automotive service provider and tire dealer, VIP is a firm believer that charity and community service make a positive difference in people’s lives. Operating 77 New England locations and employing about 800 people, the company has a duty to do right by its neighbors in local communities — whether they are VIP customers or not. In addition to supporting Make-A-Wish® every year, VIP also works to protect a clean, green environment by recycling used antifreeze, motor oil and transmission fluid free of charge.
“At VIP, we don’t just talk the talk when it comes to charity; we walk the walk, supporting the causes that matter most,” said Tim Winkeler, president and CEO of VIP. “In 2025, VIP customers and employees raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for Make-A-Wish® and children in need, and our leadership team couldn’t be prouder of this long-term commitment to philanthropy. Make-A-Wish® is one of the world’s most impactful charities, working around the clock to care for New England’s most vulnerable children. The VIP team is right there too, standing by their side.”
