donations to Make-A-Wish® as part of VIP’s longstanding commitment to charity and community. In recent years, VIP customers and employees have raised more than $1 million on behalf of young children facing life-threatening medical conditions.

In 2022, VIP raised and donated over $164,000 to Make-A-Wish® chapters across New England, including new record-level donations in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Massachusetts. During its ‘Season of Wishes’ campaign, VIP customers and employees raised over $82,000, and then John Quirk, VIP’s Executive Chairman, and Owner, matched the contribution, bringing the total to just over $164,000.

As Northern New England’s largest privately held automotive service provider and tire dealer, VIP is a firm believer in supporting organizations that make a true difference in people’s lives. Operating 67 locations and employing more than 600 people, the company and its people enjoy doing right by its neighbors in local communities.

“Once again, the VIP team is proud to support Make-A-Wish®, and all the Wish Kids who benefit from this wonderful foundation”, said Tim Winkeler, VIP’s President and CEO. “Our people really get behind initiatives like this that help change lives for the better.  We look forward to supporting Make-A-Wish® and other philanthropic organizations for years to come.”

Kate Vickery, President & CEO of Make-A-Wish Maine, added, “Our partnership with VIP Tires & Service over the last 15 years has had a profound impact on our ability to deliver life-changing wishes to children battling critical illness throughout New England. We are thrilled to join VIP in celebrating this incredible milestone of raising over $1 million for Make-A-Wish and incredibly grateful to the entire VIP Tires & Service team, their leadership and their customers for their continued support. It truly takes a community to make wishes happen, and VIP is leading the way amongst our business partners, here in Maine especially.”

All-Season

All-Season tires are versatile and suitable for warm and cool climates, but not recommended for extreme hot or cold weather conditions because of specific rubber components.

All-Weather

Like their name suggests, all-weather tires are versatile and can perform well in a variety of weather conditions and can be severe snow-rated.

All-Terrain

With bigger treads than traditional all-season tires, all-terrain tires allow for both on and off-roading capabilities.

Winter

Winter tires are manufactured to perform well in snow, ice, sleet and other cold weather conditions. Winter tires are typically soft, with an intricate grooved tread pattern — made for holding compacted snow and creating traction — and are severe snow-rated.
