Having regular oil changes is one of the most important things you can do for the overall health of your vehicle – and one of the least expensive. Without the proper amount of oil and routine changes, your car will not perform as well as it is designed to, and it will not last as long as it is built to.
Refer to your owner’s manual or speak with a VIP Certified Automotive Professional to find out the proper oil change interval for your vehicle.
At VIP, every oil change package comes with a FREE Multi-Point Inspection.
Oil change prices depend on the type and amount of oil your vehicle needs. The following are based on a typical five quarts of oil.
VIP oil changes include a new premium MicroGard filter. (Additional charges apply to other filter requirements, and to vehicles requiring more than 5 quarts of oil.)

At VIP we understand what your car means to you. All of our employees, from our customer service representatives to our world-class ASE-certified master technicians believe in getting the job done right. We walk you through the work to be done before we begin, including live-feed reviews of your vehicle and copies of your multipoint inspection sent straight to your phone.

Old oil can break down over time, which leads to sludge and build up. Old oil loses its ability to lubricate, cool, and protect your engine. Waiting too long between oil changes can lower fuel efficiency, increase wear on your engine, and can sometimes result in costly repairs down the road. If you’re worried or can’t remember the last time you got an oil change, bring your vehicle in and we’ll get you back on track.
The price differences usually come down to oil quality (conventional vs full synthetic), filter quality, amount of oil that your vehicle requires (some trucks can take up to 10 quarts of oil) and labor costs. At VIP, we’re transparent with our Good, Better, Best pricing and can tell you up front if your vehicle requires extra labor or additional quarts.
VIP’s new Euro oil change offering is for specific European vehicle models that require extra labor to access the oil drain. Not all vehicles are built the same, so if you’re not sure if your vehicle is considered Euro, please reach out to our live chat or someone in our stores and we can quickly determine the right oil change for you.
A typical oil change involves draining all of the old oil out, replacing the old oil filter with a new oil filter, and then adding in new oil. Most vehicles require five quarts, but larger cars and trucks have larger engines, which increases their oil requirements. Your owner’s manual will tell you what your vehicle needs.
If you suspect you have a significant oil leak (seeing large puddles or spots under your parked vehicle, or a trail of oil when you drive) do NOT drive your vehicle. Driving your vehicle without enough oil in the engine can cause significant damage to your engine or cause it to seize. Have your vehicle towed to your trusted auto repair shop. Even small oil leaks can be pinpointed by a technician performing diagnostics with dye.
The length of time you can go between oil changes depends on the car and the type of oil. Most modern vehicles can go 5,000 – 7,000 miles between oil changes with synthetic blend or conventional oil. Some can go up to 10,000 miles between oil changes with full synthetic oil changes. Every vehicle is different, so it’s important to consult your owner’s manual for the real source of truth.
Synthetic oil is engineered to handle heat, cold, and friction better than conventional oil, which means longer intervals between changes and better protection for your engine. Conventional oil costs less up front typically, but needs more frequent changes. Not sure which is the right oil for your car? All-Season tires are versatile and suitable for warm and cool climates, but not recommended for extreme hot or cold weather conditions because of specific rubber components.
Like their name suggests, all-weather tires are versatile and can perform well in a variety of weather conditions and can be severe snow-rated.
With bigger treads than traditional all-season tires, all-terrain tires allow for both on and off-roading capabilities.
Winter tires are manufactured to perform well in snow, ice, sleet and other cold weather conditions. Winter tires are typically soft, with an intricate grooved tread pattern — made for holding compacted snow and creating traction — and are severe snow-rated.
