Meet Roxy & Bella! They’re ‘Very Important Pups’!

In an ongoing monthly series, VIP is sponsoring “Very Important Pups” that need a home. Once a month, we’ll be sponsoring a dog from the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland in Westbrook, ME. When you adopt the VIP pup that we’ve sponsored, you’ll receive a great take-home bag filled with tons of goodies for your new family member courtesy of VIP!

This month’s pups are Roxy and Bella!

Meet Roxy and Bella! The most precious duo you ever meet!

Roxy is an 81-pound black lab mix. She loves chewing a rawhide, laying at her persons feet, a good butt scratch and eating snow. At 10-years-young she still very much enjoys getting her paws dirty outdoors. She has excellent recall and does well staying by the side of her human hiking through the woods or around the neighborhood.

Her best friend is Bella, a spunky and spirited min-pin mix. Also 10-years-old, Bella prefers the lap of a human over the feet. She burrows under the bed covers at night as far as she can go. She’s quick and energetic and does a funny dance to encourage scratches and rubs.

Roxy and Bella have spent the majority of their lives together. They are local dogs, brought to us in December when their owners experienced health concerns. We are committed to keeping them together. As goofy of a pair as they are, they are deeply bonded and deserve to spend the rest of their lives in the company of their BFF.
