VIP Kicks Off 2021 With New Hampshire Expansion

Written by: Colleen Chassie
New Store Opening: Keene, NH

Proud to be Keene decal

VIP Tires & Service shows no signs of stopping as the company announces its first expansion of 2021 with the new Keene, New Hampshire location now officially open. The Keene store makes this the company’s 20th store in the state and 63rd in New England. The new store is located at 526 Main Street.

“This was a unique store opening for us that required a lot of planning and preparation to get renovations of the existing facility underway,” said Tim Winkeler, President and Chief Executive Officer of VIP Tires & Service. “We love the idea of renovating buildings that are no longer used, so with the official remodeling starting in Spring 2020, we’re thrilled to now open this new store to kick-off 2021. Keene has been a target market for us for a long time, and with our other stores just far enough away to be challenging for customers in this neck of the woods to get to, we’re excited to provide our unique tires and service offerings to Keene residents.”

VIP Successfully Renovates Existing Keene Truck Repair Building

With the goal of investing in a space that already existed, VIP began renovations on an old heavy-duty truck repair facility in May 2020. The beautiful, finished space boasts almost 9,000 square feet of service area, hosts nine bays, and has onsite tire storage for 2,000 tires.

All VIP Tires & Service locations offer a tire shop and full-service automotive repair, with everything from brake repair, to preventative maintenance, muffler and exhaust repair, multi-point vehicle inspections, wheel alignments, state inspections, and oil changes. In addition to providing superior auto and tire services, VIP is very customer-focused and wants to ensure an exceptional in-store experience. The open concept customer waiting area features a laptop bar with multiple seats and individual plug-ins, a coffee and drink bar, restrooms, and a TV sitting area, making it easy for individuals to stay connected to work and family while they wait for their vehicle. Additionally, the waiting area holds 40 tires on display so customers can see and touch different models before making their purchase decision.

Nick Ehlen, an experienced automotive care professional is managing the Keene store. VIP hired from within the Keene community to fully staff the location, including hiring an Assistant Manager, a Service Advisor, three ASE Technicians, and four Install Technicians. Store hours of operations are Monday through Saturday 7:30 am to 6 pm and Sunday 8:30 am to 5 pm. VIP has numerous store locations, including 20 in New Hampshire, 6 in Massachusetts, 2 in Vermont, and 35 in Maine.

All-Season

All-Season tires are versatile and suitable for warm and cool climates, but not recommended for extreme hot or cold weather conditions because of specific rubber components.

All-Weather

Like their name suggests, all-weather tires are versatile and can perform well in a variety of weather conditions and can be severe snow-rated.

All-Terrain

With bigger treads than traditional all-season tires, all-terrain tires allow for both on and off-roading capabilities.

Winter

Winter tires are manufactured to perform well in snow, ice, sleet and other cold weather conditions. Winter tires are typically soft, with an intricate grooved tread pattern — made for holding compacted snow and creating traction — and are severe snow-rated.
