You decide if and when you want the recommended work done.

Basic Brake Service

  • Free Brake Inspection.
  • Replace pads with premium Bendix brake products.
  • Clean and lubricate moving caliper parts.
  • Replace clips and hardware.
  • Labor to replace rotors if required. (parts additional)
  • Road tested for proper break in stops.

Brake System Fluid Exchange Service

Brake fluid absorbs moisture during normal service. The moisture builds up and can freeze during cold weather, causing brake systems to fail. Contaminated brake fluid can lead to corrosion and pitting to vital brake system components. VIP ASE Certified Technicians utilize the newest technology in brake fluid exchange equipment to bleed your vehicle’s brake system, remove all of the contaminated, aged brake fluid, and refill with premium DOT 4 brake fluid that will keep your brakes working properly and ensure your safety. Check with VIP’s Service Counter to determine when your vehicle’s manufacturer recommends a Brake System Fluid Exchange Service.

Brake Repair and Brake Replacement

As with any other car part, brakes wear down over time, and its components will require eventual replacement for performance and safety reasons. Brake pads are the most commonly replaced component of your brake system, as there are many variables, such as driving style and climate conditions, that can drastically shorten their lifespan. There are four types of brake pads currently available to drivers, and the type of pad you need depends on your vehicle and your driving habits. The four types are:

Organic: These brake pads are made from organic materials such as fiberglass, rubber, and Kevlar. These pads are generally softer, and the noise they create is minimal, but they tend to wear faster and create more dust.

Semi-metallic: Semi-metallic brake pads are made from 30% to 65% metal. They are considered very durable but can cause the brake rotors to wear faster, and they don’t function quite as well in extremely low temperatures.

Low-metallic: These pads are made primarily from a mixture of organic formula with small amounts of copper or steel to help with heat transfer and allow for better braking. Over time, these pads can generate more noise and brake dust.

Ceramic: Ceramic brake pads are made from ceramic fibers and filler materials. They are typically more expensive than other brake pads, but they are cleaner, less noisy, and last longer. In addition, they provide excellent braking and don’t cause excessive wear on the brake rotors.

Warning signs that your brakes need attention:

  • Strange noises or high-pitched squeaking when braking
  • It takes longer for your car to stop than usual
  • The steering wheel wiggles in your hands when coming to a stop
  • Unusual shimmying, shaking or shuddering when you apply the brakes
  • Uneven pulling to one side
  • The need to pump the pedal to get better stopping power

Time for a brake job? Your brakes are your vehicle’s most important safety system!

If you experience any of these problems, it could be a sign that your car brakes need repair or replacement. Not only can neglecting your braking system lead to further damage and increased repair costs, it also jeopardizes the safety of you, your passengers, and everyone else on the road. The brake system is your vehicle’s most important safety system, and in order to ensure that they are functioning properly, it is incredibly important to pay attention to potential warning signs and make any necessary repairs. Practicing preventive maintenance will save you a lot of money down the road on costly repairs that are easily avoidable by simply having routine replacements of your brake pads, brake rotors, and brake fluid. At VIP, you can rest assured that we have everything that you need to extend the lifespan of your car or truck. If you’re experiencing problems with your brakes, or something just seems “off”, come in for a Free Brake Inspection and our qualified technicians will find the root of the problem and get you back on the road in no time.

All-Season

All-Season tires are versatile and suitable for warm and cool climates, but not recommended for extreme hot or cold weather conditions because of specific rubber components.

All-Weather

Like their name suggests, all-weather tires are versatile and can perform well in a variety of weather conditions and can be severe snow-rated.

All-Terrain

With bigger treads than traditional all-season tires, all-terrain tires allow for both on and off-roading capabilities.

Winter

Winter tires are manufactured to perform well in snow, ice, sleet and other cold weather conditions. Winter tires are typically soft, with an intricate grooved tread pattern — made for holding compacted snow and creating traction — and are severe snow-rated.
