VIP 30 Day Ride Guarantee

Your complete satisfaction is our primary goal at VIP. VIP Road Hazard Replacement Guarantee

The VIP Road Hazard Replacement Guarantee gives you peace of mind and added protection for your tires. The Guarantee covers your tires if they are damaged due to: road hazard, impact break, glass cut, or pot-hole damage. Repairable tires will be repaired free of charge, including free mounting and free balancing. Unrepairable tires will be replaced on a pro-rated basis according to the following terms and conditions:

• Tires damaged within the first 6 months of purchase or 25% of tread wear, whichever comes first, will be repaired or replaced for free.
• The tire must have at least 2/32” of tread remaining across the entire tread area. This will be validated by measurement with a tread depth gauge in 3 places across the tire tread.
• Tires that have been damaged by misalignment, lack of rotation, improper inflation or caused by mechanical defect from the vehicle or from off-road use are not guaranteed.
• Tires damaged by an automobile accident, fire, theft or malicious acts are not guaranteed.

Pro-Rating Tire Guidelines

Pro-Rating is the way we measure the percentage of the tire that has been worn. This calculation applies to Road Hazard Guarantees and Manufactures Mileage Warranty Claims. To calculate pro-rated credits we use the following formula; Current Tread Depth minus 2/32” divided by the New Tread Depth minus 2/32” times the purchase price of the tire, net of discounts. This will be the amount credited to your purchase of replacement tires. Measurements are taken at three points across the tread. The lowest tread depth measurement is used for pro-rating. Tires with 2/32” or less tread at any point across the tread will not be pro-rated. Click here for terms and conditions.

Basic Tire Installation Package

The VIP Basic Tire Installation Package includes mounting, balancing, new valve stem, tire disposal and free tire rotation every 6 months or 6,000 miles for the life of your tire.

Premium Tire Installation Package

The VIP Premium Tire Installation Package includes Road Hazard Replacement Guarantee, mounting, blancing, new valve stem, tire disposal and free tire rotation every 6 months or 6,000 miles for the life of your tire.

Standard Four Wheel Alignment Warranty

The VIP Standard Alignment warranty is for 1 year or 15,000 miles, whichever comes first. During the warranty period, as often as necessary, VIP will inspect your steering and suspension system including tire condition and air pressure, put vehicle on alignment rack, perform proper rotation of tires, check the alignment, adjust alignment angles to manufacturer's specifications, verify alignment is within specification, and road test vehicle. VIP Lifetime Four Wheel Alignment

The VIP Lifetime Alignment is valid for as long as you own your vehicle. During this time, VIP will inspect steering and suspension system including tire condition and air pressure, put vehicle on alignment rack, perform proper rotation of tires, check the alignment, adjust alignment angles to manufacturer's specifications, verify alignment is within specification, and road test vehicle as often as you like. If your vehicle needs an alignment due to worn or broken chassis or front end parts, VIP will still perform the alignment for free provided the replacement parts and labor are purchased from VIP. The VIP Lifetime Tire and Alignment Package guarantees your alignment for the life of your newly purchased tires. You must purchase the Lifetime Tire and Alignment Package when your new tires are installed at VIP. During the life of your tires, VIP will inspect steering and suspension system including tire condition and air pressure, put vehicle on alignment rack, perform proper rotation and balancing of tires, check the alignment, adjust alignment angles to manufacturer's specifications, verify alignment is within specification, and road test vehicle as often as you like. VIP’s Road Hazard protection applies only to tires. No mechanical systems or parts are covered under the Road Hazard Protection Plan. If, you purchase the Lifetime Tire and Alignment Package for 2 tires and purchase your next two tires for the same vehicle within 6 months of your original Lifetime Tire and Alignment Package purchase, the 2 new tires will also be covered under the alignment portion of the plan. VIP Lifetime Disc Brake Pad Warranty

With the purchase and installation of Bendix premium brake pads at VIP, we’ll replace them for free, as long as you own your vehicle. All you pay for is the labor and any additional parts needed to keep your brake system running properly. VIP Lifetime Application Hard Parts Warranty

VIP Parts, Tires & Service offers its customers a lifetime warranty on most hard parts. If a part fails VIP will replace it free. Warranty return will be on an exchange basis. The customer must return the part with original register receipt. Warranties only apply to the original purchaser for private, non-commercial use, and only to the vehicle in which the product was originally installed and/or used within. Neither warrantor nor manufacturer shall be liable for any incidental or consequential damages including without limitation, indirect and special damages resulting from defects in the product. This warranty does not cover miscellaneous expenses for removal, installation, service, towing or down time, nor does it cover material, labor, or additional parts required for replacement or repair of damages caused by abuse (including fire, vandalism or wreckage), misuse, neglect, tampering, or failure to follow manufacture’s operating and/or installation instructions. Parts sourced from non VIP suppliers (i.e. outside purchases or special orders) will be covered under the manufacturers standard warranty policy. There are some select parts which are considered wearable items and certain value line parts that are not covered by the VIP Lifetime Warranty. VIP Lifetime Labor Warranty

If a VIP stocking Application Hard Part is purchased and installed by VIP and it fails, VIP will install a replacement for free. Both the part and the labor related to installation are free. Winter Tire Change Over

When you purchase and install winter tires at VIP you also receive free winter tire changeover in the spring and again in the fall. This includes dismounting, installing a new valve stem and mounting of your summer tires, balancing is an additional charge. Our exclusive Free winter change over is good for the life of your winter tires. Tires must be installed on the original vehicle (non-transferable) and vehicles equipped with tire pressure mounting systems may require additional services.

VIP will mount, dismount, balance, install new valve stems and provide a 4 wheel alignment all for FREE! Proper Tire Maintenance and Care

Proper tire maintenance is an important safety function often neglected. Tires are the only contact between your vehicle and the road. Please follow these important safety guidelines:

• Consult your owner’s manual prior to replacing any tires or rotating tires and follow the vehicle manufacturer’s tire replacement and rotation specifications.
• Replace your tires as recommended by the original equipment vehicle manufacturer and only use the proper original equipment size, speed rating, load range and other performance specifications. ALL WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLES need to follow strict manufacture’s replacement guidelines. Consult your owner’s manual BEFORE choosing any tires as improperly matched replacement tires may cause serious mechanical damage including transmission and or drive-train failure.
• Check your tire pressure monthly. Consult your owner’s manual for proper inflation specifications.
• Most vehicle manufacturers recommend you properly rotate your tires every 5,000 to 7,000 miles and have your wheels aligned at least once per year.
• If a tire is damaged, have it inspected by a Rubber Manufacturer’s Association Certified Tire dealer and follow recommended tire repair guidelines.

Proper Wheel Torque

After the first 25 miles of driving after your wheels have been removed and replaced or after driving on new wheels or after new tire installations, you should re-torque the wheel lugs in case the clamping loads have changed following the initial installation. This is necessary due to the possibility of metal compression/elongation or thermal stresses affecting the wheels as they are breaking in, as well as to insure the proper manufacture’s torque specifications are maintained. AT VIP, WE WILL RE-TORQUE YOUR WHEELS FOR FREE AT ANYTIME – NO APPOINTMENT NECESSARY.

Official Record of Warranty or Lifetime Service

The Original Completed Work Order and Sales Receipt are the official record of warranty or proof of purchase of Lifetime Application Hard Parts Warranty, Lifetime Labor Warranty, Lifetime Disc Brake Warranty, Alignment Warranty, Lifetime Alignment, and Lifetime Tire and Alignment Package. The Original Completed Work Order and Sales Receipt must be presented with any labor, alignment or service warranty request. The Sales Receipt must be presented for any Retail Purchased Application Hard Parts warranty request.

Requests for Lifetime Service, Warranty Work, Guaranty Work or Exchanges

All parts and labor warranty work must be completed at a VIP Parts, Tires & Service. VIP Parts, Tires & Service will not warranty any part sold by a third party or repair performed by an individual customer or third party.

By arrangement for an appointment and surrender of the offical record of warranty, the VIP Parts, Tires & Service rendering the original service will handle such corrections without any additional charge for labor, parts or materials. If any additional work is needed, a free estimate will be given to the customer for authorization prior to the start of any work.

Transferability

The VIP Parts, Tires & Service warranties, guarantees and lifetime services are non-transferable and are for the exclusive use of the customer, vehicle, or tires identified on the Original Completed Work Order or Sales Receipt.

Exclusions

The warranties, guarantees, lifetime services and policies described do not apply to any performance failure due to such cases as fire, theft, vandalism, road damage, collision, off-road use, non-automotive use, tampering, racing, or any negligent or willfull abuse nor do they in any way extend to the consequential damage from either a defict in parts, material or performance falure.

Warranty or Guarantee does not apply if the Original Completed Work Order is noted to show that the customer declined to authorize certain other specified labor, parts or materials which are required for satisfactory performance of the service work requested. For example, if a defect in one component is causing a guaranteed part to fail and recommended repairs to the defective component were declined, the lifetime guarantee on the failed part does not apply.
